What is Satsang?

​

"Satsang" is a Sanskrit term that means "association with truth" or "gathering in the company of the wise." This 3,000-year-old practice brings together individuals to engage in spiritual growth, self-realization, and a deepening connection with our shared essence. In Satsang, we aren’t just discussing truth from an intellectual standpoint; we’re tapping into the profound experience of truth—the truth of our being.

Paramahansa Yogananda captured the essence of Satsang beautifully: "Satsanga makes the mind pure. Company of the good is very important. It shapes our character. It is the most effective means for growth of spirituality." These gatherings create an uplifting environment where members can learn from one another, share wisdom, and support each other’s journey.

 

What to Expect in Our Satsang

During each Satsang, I’ll guide us in a meditation to center ourselves and settle into stillness. A brief teaching will follow, focusing on spiritual insights and practices. Finally, the space will open up for fellowship and Q&A, offering an opportunity for members to share experiences, ask questions, and receive support from one another.
